Can everyone just imagine how fast the world is evolving right now? If we compare the society’s situation a decade ago from now, we can say it’s one heck of a big leap for everyone. Big thanks to brilliant people with incredible ideas and technology upgrades.
What keeps on evolving right now is the digital world that helped almost half of the population’s needs in terms of research and communication. Computers, mobile phones, machines and other electronic devices have upgraded to its new level that gives convenience to people not to mention wireless internet connections.
Most people cannot live without it because it becomes their source of communication to their love ones who are living far away from them. Researchers see the convenience in looking for data over the internet and at the same time share theirs too. Keeping people updated on what is new and trending is one of the purposes why there are technology and the internet.
Now with this kind of situation, IT companies have thought of making it more accessible to everyone most especially to the people in New York. Wifi wiring in New York made all things possible and easier for the community, especially to tourists and OFWs who wishes to communicate with their family back at home. It is the idea of the city to dethrone the reigning champs Seoul, Tokyo and Geneva, for the ‘most connected city in the world’ title as far as accessible, and high-speed internet is concerned.
In connection to that, the city has signed a $200 million dollar deal to replace old pay phone spots to high-tech, futuristic kiosks at no costs to taxpayers and New York residents. FREE WIFI, how cool is that?
These kiosks installed by LinkNYC program broadcasts a 100 times faster connection than municipal WIFI wirings. It can be used for video-chatting, free domestic calls and simple internet searches which are again accessible to anyone who wishes to use it. The kiosk cover 150-foot radius at speeds of up to a gigabit per second. It is incredible how technology made all of this work.
Not just that because LinkNYC has collaborated with transit wireless to provide free internet connection to passengers throughout the high-traffic subway.
With all these techy changes, we acknowledge those who came up with structured fiber optic wirings that make such system work with its right pace. Different companies nowadays are now offering structured cabling installation to data and voice systems that enable faster internet connection avoid distractions from system problems.
The team that will install the wifi connection that may come from different companies may have different approaches when they do the job. Therefore, it is always better to find the right group of people to do the job, the ones who are properly trained and who knows what they are doing.
Besides, who would not want a near-citywide unlimited WIFI access anyways? Pretty sure NYC is stoked for this.
Everyone cannot wait for the WIFI wiring upgrade not just in the city but all other countries of course.
